Hero and Detail Shot

Hero Shot

Detail Shot

I chose the hero shot for its ability to show the melding of the above and below levels in shape and support. The shot conveys the grandeur of the geometric roof which flows down into a basement column supporting the stairs and ceiling and the balcony of the second floor which echos the movement of the basement stairs. The detail shot captures the subtle shape of the stairs that controls and ties in the randomness of the glass roof with the rest of the modestly composed building.

Week 3: Textures in Model

Texture In-between: Fresh
Texture Below (Glass Design): Reverse

Texture Above: Crystalline

Video Caption: Relationship of Stair with texture. Below, a reference to Autofabrica's exhaust pipes, the curved window decor staggers up each panel representing the curved, overlapping elements of the ground level stair case. Above the textured floor references the asymmeticity of the stairs and glass roof.

Stair Model

Concept

The two stairs are to subtly reflect the stand out properties of their level of the building while reflecting qualities of the other within their design. Without connecting with the other, stair will provide a hazy merge into the other both in location and form. A necessary concept in order for a union between lighting and automotive products.
